Hi All Hope you dont mind me Talking About my project. I have had the car for 4 years now and its been off the road for 3 it all started when it was time for the MOT... the subframme was rotten and the sills and the valence needed replaceing, SO.. i bought (Being Clever) a rear beam hopefully less weight and less rott. This however lead to the purchase of rear coilover and completley referbin my radius arms (the cast metal Arms and hubs now the only origional part (I could not justifie £700 on the alloy arms and hubs)) maybe one day... Following on with the weight theme at the NMOC Day i purchased a FibreGlass Bootlid and i am currently sorceing the exact "plastic" window set to suit my needs and the FibreGlass doors. The Sills have been Replaced and the rear Valance and then in a moment of maddness i started to de-seem her...
I Will hopefully Keep you informed (if you want me too)
Take Care All..

wow thanks i appreciate your work far more now!whats right with my car? just on sunday the coil split and all the juice went everywhere and it took me 3.5hours to start the other day before that. according to luke that should be the world record to start a mini. i dont have the knowledge to make it work so the money is flying out of my account into bills to repair it. and the interior is crap but i dont want the bog standard seat covers because i like nice stuff so i am considering sewing my own but i dont know where to get the materials for it. and as soon as i fix one thing the next thing goes really abdly wrong but its always intermitent problems so the garage always have to try 6,000 different things before it finally works. and theres a dead fly on my windscreen and its scary.

Today (010608) A while backI was given a second hand set of Glass fibre group 5 arches two of which where dammaged but for free i could not complain... so today was taken up with tidying them up and prepering the bootlid, whilst i was at it the rear valance seam had some more tlc and filler to tidy her up... and the passengers side sill was removed and hopefully will have the replacement welded on this week along with de-seeming the rear.... Reasent purchase's include a triger handbrake and a near number plate light... http://s292.photobucket.com/albums/mm33/JZminiMOD/My%20Mini/010608/Take care all...

Hi all an update..... I recently aquired a 1380 stage 3 engine and have started making my wicked planns for it.... also i went to the MG car show at silverstone on farthers day and purchased some interesting front light clusters for my cluby (i believe they are off of an MGB/Miget), And Gaydon mini fest provided me with some more poly bushes, a subframe for my bucket seat (purchased at mini in the mud last year), two crome engine breathers and two very tidy top arms. The top arms will get striped and reconditioned just like the radius arms did. Also another E-bay find was a set of adjustable tie bars, not got much more to get and my new subframe will be built complete and ready to just slot into place!!! http://s292.photobucket.com/albums/mm33/JZminiMOD/My%20Mini/190808/The Engine is going to be an interesting journey for me and hopefully i will acheive 100BHP!!? I have a rought spec in my head from looking at what other people have used but any sugestions are more than welcome.

Hi all been a while but i have actually been getting on with the build... the front subframme is back in and nearly built up, the rear beam had been fitted and raddius arms attached (nearly on wheels again...!) just a bit more welding, rubbing down and prep on the fibreglass pannels and she will soon be ready for a re spray.... http://s292.photobucket.com/albums/mm33/JZminiMOD/My%20Mini/there are a few more pics on this site. Hi
The project work is very good, the standard of finish is as good as I have seen anywhere.
Are you going to fit strengthening bars to the front end, and also a trailer plug/socket for the electrics, and pull out pins on the hinges.
Happy Christmas
Rob
